1. Find an agent location

Find a MoneyGram agent location near you

2. Prepare for your agent visit

Bring the following information:

• For all sends:
  • South Africa Resident
    
    • Your Identity Document (Valid Passport /Green bar coded ID)
    • Your proof of residence- not older than 3 months e.g. Utility bill or bank statement (Needed once off for registration purposes)
    • Your recipient's full name matching their I.D. and their country
    • The amount you wish to send, plus fees
  • Foreign Nationals
    
    • Your Identity Document (Valid Passport /Asylum seeker documents).
    • Your proof of residence- not older than 3 months e.g. Utility bill or bank statement (Needed once off for registration purposes)
    • Your proof of income (pay slip)
    • Your recipient's full name matching their I.D. and their country
    • The amount you wish to send, plus fees

3. Complete your transaction

Where applicable, complete a send form. Give the agent the completed form with applicable funds (including transaction fees)

4. Notify your recipient

The recipient would require the 8-digit reference number to collect his remittance.
